HILLEL AFFILIATES 2011 (List in formation)
Jewlicious and Hillel have a partnership that started right from the start— Jewlicious Festival was born when Rachel Bookstein was Director of Long Beach Hillel, and Rabbi Yonah was the Campus Rabbi!
Today, Hillels from Santa Barbara to Pittsburgh, from Maryland to Los Angeles, are affiliated with JF. Hillel’s can offer this amazing program to their students without any strings attached.
This Affiliate program is also a way to make the Festival meet the needs of Hillels that send groups of students to the festival. Hillel Affiliates get recognition and PR for their support of the student’s participation.
Several Hillel’s in the past have joined as Affiliates including:
USC, UCI, UCSB, Chapman, CSU Sonoma, CSU Northridge, UNLV, University of Arizona, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Louisville, and Claremont. Long Beach Hillel are co-producers of the Festival.
FESTIVAL AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Here is how the Festival Affiliate program works.
Step One: Register with Hillel Affiliate Coordinator Rachel Kaplan [rachel at beachhillel.com] that your Hillel is interested in being part of the program.
Step Two: Review the terms of the affilate program for 2010-2011
Step Three: Send an email confirming you Hillel’s participation
Step Four: Begin promotion with supplied graphics (we can help you with this if you need)
Jewlicious Festival will actively promote your Hillel’s support as an affiliate on our website, in e-newsletter, and the official program. Provide a complimentary VIP pass for the Hillel staff that attend. Provide additional concert weekend passes for your Hillel, based on the number of overall Hillel student participation.
Hillel affiliate’s responsibilities are to actively promote participation in the Festival to their campus, help distribute flyers, and post posters. Hillel Affiliates will work with the Jewlicious Campus Rep (or help recruit one if your campus doesn’t have one) to be a local rep/recruiter(s) for the Festival, and help send them to our regional rep/recruiter meeting. Hillel will make an effort to send a staff person to the festival to help staff the weekend.
There are many innovations for the coming Festival, many gleamed from our student surveys. Something cool is always new and innovative every year. Also – students can submit their ideas here on the website.
Lastly, about tickets. We want to make sure we have lots of tickets for your Hillel’s students.
